The days are quickly becoming shorter and the weather is getting colder, but that’s not to say you can’t still enjoy yourself or even treat your family to a winter break. No matter what kind of break you prefer, all you have to do is jump in your motorhome and explore your very own winter wonderland.

Festive fun
If you want to plan a festive trip this year, there’s so much going on to choose from. Whether you prefer attending a well-known Christmas market, or you want to visit somewhere with a little more to it, there’s something for everyone. Enjoy a day out at a number of different festive places, before retiring to your cosy motorhome in the evening to relax.
If you take the scenic drive to Sussex, you will no doubt be exposed to colourful and beautiful countryside even in winter. With plenty of rural areas to discover, you can also visit Brighton’s Christmas Village, open until 24th December! Complete with decorated chalets and endless gifts for your loved ones, it’s a perfect day out.
If you wanted somewhere a little different, why not try Edinburgh? A beautiful combination of unique landscapes and a bustling city, Edinburgh is a highly attractive area with its own European Christmas Market which is around until the new year.
Quiet getaway
Not all of us want to head straight for the busiest city; some of us would rather escape to somewhere a little more serene. For a more low-key getaway, take your motorhome somewhere where you can simply park up and relax.
The Cotswolds are renowned for their quaint villages and stately gardens; perfect for a relaxing few days. What’s more, if you get the explorer bug, you’re not too far away from the picturesque city of Oxford.
For something a little more active, the Peak District is bursting with great walking trails that are bound to be breathtaking in the winter. Take in the views and visit the Longshaw, Burbage and Eastern Moors.
City breaks
If you want to immerse yourself in a new city and uncover everything it has to offer, you won’t be disappointed. So many cities in the UK have nearby sites to park your motorhome. For a cultural experience, take your family to York and take in the wonderful sights including York Minster and a number of museums.
If you fancy travelling somewhere different, Cambridge has something for everyone. Whether it’s sitting in a cosy pub, heading to a pantomime or wrapping up warm for a trip down the river, Cambridge has it all. What’s more, is you can have your home comforts once you’ve finished exploring!
